What is food-grade silicone-coated paper

Food-grade silicone-coated paper starts from a clean, food-grade base paper chosen for an even surface and stable strength, and is coated with food-grade silicone to form a uniform non-stick layer. The base here is a general-purpose food-grade paper — not a parchment or a glassine base — which makes this a practical, everyday silicone-coated food paper for a wide range of food-contact uses. For the buyer, what matters is what the coated sheet does: dough, batter, candy and other sticky foods release cleanly, and the sheet stays flat and serviceable through ordinary baking and steaming.

Key material properties

• Non-stick release. The food-grade silicone surface lets dough, batter, candy and other sticky foods release cleanly without added oil and without tearing the paper — the reason liners and wraps are made from this grade.
• Uniform coating, predictable release. The silicone is applied evenly over the food-grade base paper, so release behaviour stays consistent across a roll or a ream — important for die-cutting and automated packing lines.
• Stable in ordinary food-service heat. The sheet performs reliably at the temperatures of ordinary baking and steaming, and through freezer-to-oven cycles in typical food use. The exact temperature ceiling depends on the base paper grammage and the coating, so the grade is matched to the end use.
• Strength and converting. The base holds together under steam and in contact with moist or oily foods, and the coated sheet slits, cuts and die-cuts cleanly into liners, sheets and wraps.
• Food-contact safety. Food-grade base and coating meet international food-contact safety requirements; supporting documentation for compliance review is available offline on request.
