An outdoor electrical-cabinet nameplate, a chemical-drum tag, a cold-chain carton label or an engine-bay VIN label has one job that lasts for years: to stay readable for as long as the asset is in service. Paper labels in those places wet out and smear, tear at the edges, or yellow and crack in the sun — and when the identity fades, the part is left with no readable history, no warranty answer and no trace.

We supply synthetic paper labels that close that gap — a substrate of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) polymer that prints like paper but carries the durability of a plastic film. The material itself does not absorb water, and the surface resists common oils, weak acids and alkalis and chemical solvents, so text and barcodes survive weather, moisture, chemicals and rough handling. Rated from -50°C to +90°C and printable by thermal transfer, inkjet or laser, synthetic paper gives a semi-permanent identification label where ordinary paper will not last.

Key Features

Waterproof and chemical-resistant in the material itself

The PP/PE polymer substrate does not absorb water, and its surface resists common oils, weak acids and alkalis and chemical solvents. Damp, oily or corrosive service does not blur the print or lift the label, so barcodes and part marks stay legible without a separate laminate or overcoat to fail.

Tear- and abrasion-resistant beyond paper

Tensile and tear strength sit well above ordinary paper, and the scratch-resistant surface stands up to handling, racking and contact in plants and logistics. Labels survive edge wear and tool contact instead of tearing or losing their print, keeping codes readable over months of service.

Dimensionally stable and flat in damp or cold

Because the material is non-absorbent it does not swell, deform or wrinkle when it gets wet or humid. Labels stay flat and stay adhered, so edges do not lift and printed codes do not distort on curved or rough surfaces.

UV-stabilised for outdoor sun and wide temperatures

UV stabilisers resist yellowing and embrittlement under prolonged sunlight, while the material keeps its physical properties from -50°C to +90°C — covering cold-chain storage, hot plant areas and seasonal outdoor equipment.

Prints like paper, bonds like an industrial label

A surface suited to thermal-transfer printing (preferred) and also to inkjet and laser printing gives durable, scratch-resistant text and barcodes with clean colour. A high-tack permanent acrylic adhesive bonds to substrates that are hard to wet — HDPE and LDPE plastics, metal and glass.

  • What is the difference from an ordinary paper label? Ordinary paper absorbs water, tears at the edge and yellows in sunlight; synthetic paper is a PP/PE polymer substrate that prints like paper but does not absorb water, tear easily or degrade under UV.
