Dust-free paper — also called cleaning paper or lint-free wipe paper — is a low-linting, high-purity wiping paper designed for precision cleaning and surface preparation. It is the base stock converters slit into rolls, cut into sheets or die-cut into cleaning wipes for semiconductor fabs, electronics assembly, optics, laboratories and controlled medical areas. Dust-free paper is made from cellulosic fibres such as wood pulp or cotton pulp, or from synthetic fibres such as polyester and polypropylene, bonded into a sheet that releases almost no dust or particles in use.
As a paper manufacturer, Bofeng supplies dust-free paper in rolls or sheets, in wood-pulp, cotton or synthetic-fibre grades. Tell us your end use and the cleanliness requirements of your line, and we will match fibre, grammage, texture and any anti-static or low-ionic treatment to the wiping job.
What is dust-free paper
What makes a paper "dust-free" is low particle and fibre shedding. The fibre web is formed and bonded so the sheet stays intact during wiping and does not shed lint or release particles that could re-contaminate a cleaned part. Dust-free paper is a precision-cleaning grade rather than a general absorbent paper: it is chosen when the wiped surface must stay free of dust, fibres and residues — on sensitive parts, optical surfaces and in controlled environments. Depending on the end use, the grade can be given an anti-static treatment to limit static build-up that attracts dust or damages electronics, or a low-ionic finish where ionic contamination must be controlled.
Key material properties
- Low lint and particle release. Dust-free paper sheds almost no fibres or particles during wiping, so it cleans without leaving contamination behind on the wiped surface.
- Fast absorbency for wiping. The sheet picks up water, spills and mild cleaning solutions quickly, so wiping leaves surfaces dry and clean.
- Softness and non-scratching. The soft surface will not scratch or abrade sensitive parts, making it safe for optics, panels and precision components.
- Wet and dry strength. The sheet keeps its strength when wet, so it does not tear or leave residue during wiping or when used with cleaning solvents.
- Anti-static option. Grades can be treated to reduce static build-up, protecting electronic components and limiting dust attraction in use.
- Low-ionic option. Controlled ionic content is available for ion-sensitive environments such as electronics and medical applications.
Supply forms and options
- Rolls or sheets, wood-pulp, cotton or synthetic-fibre grades.
- White and colours, with plain, twill, cloth, chain, honeycomb or diamond surface textures.
- Custom grammage, slit widths and anti-static or low-ionic treatment on request.
Typical end uses
Because it cleans without shedding lint or particles, dust-free paper is commonly converted into:
- Precision cleaning wipes for semiconductor equipment, wafer-handling areas and cleanrooms
- Wipes for display panels, printed circuit boards, optical lenses and mirrors
- Cleaning and wiping paper for controlled medical and laboratory environments
- Pre-paint and pre-coating surface-preparation wipes for automotive body panels and industrial parts

How to choose and order
Dust-free paper is supplied by fibre, grammage and texture to match the wiping job. For converters making precision and cleanroom cleaning wipes, we stock the common fibre grades and basis-weight range and can slit to width, sheet, or apply anti-static or low-ionic treatment to order. Request samples to trial on your own line — tell us the end use, the format (roll or sheet), the fibre and whether static or ionic control matters, and we will recommend a starting grade.
Bofeng New Materials supplies dust-free paper, in wood-pulp, cotton and synthetic-fibre grades, in rolls and sheets to converters and suppliers of precision cleaning products worldwide.
