Labelling inside switchgear, on a motor terminal or across a battery module means putting a piece of material where electricity already is. Whatever you apply there should not itself become a conductive path — and it should not be mistaken for a part of the electrical insulation system.

Non-conductive film stocks
Face stocks are insulating films — polyester, polyimide and PVC — chosen so the label itself does not introduce a conductive path where it is applied, which is the reason to specify a film label rather than a paper one near live equipment.
Stable on equipment that runs warm
Insulating films are selected to keep their dimensions as panels, motors and cables heat up in service, so the label does not shrink or curl away from the terminal it identifies — identification that stays legible for the working life of the equipment.
Resists cleaning and process chemicals
Contact cleaners, fluxes, oils and solvents are normal in electrical work. Face stocks and adhesives are matched so the print does not lift or smear when the panel is cleaned, keeping circuit and terminal markings readable.
Printable by laser, thermal transfer or the method you already run
Stocks are available for laser printing, thermal transfer and barcode or QR printing, so identification is produced on your existing equipment and applied before the panel is assembled rather than hand-written on site.

How to Select and Order
- Choose the film by the environment, not by a performance figure — polyimide where the equipment runs hot, polyester for general panel and board use, PVC where flexibility around a curved surface matters.
- Match the adhesive to the substrate — painted steel, anodised aluminium, cable jacket and connector housings each behave differently; the substrate usually decides the specification.
- Tell us what the label must not interfere with — if the label sits near a terminal or a creepage path, say so at the enquiry stage so the construction can be confirmed against your requirement.

FAQ
- What is the dielectric strength of these labels? We supply identification labels rather than insulation components, so we do not publish a dielectric rating for them. If your project needs a material with specified electrical parameters, tell us and we will confirm what is available, with documentation provided offline.
- Can I use these as insulation or to prevent short circuits? No. They are identification labels. They must not be used in place of insulation, sleeving, barriers or any part of an electrical safety system.
- Which film should I choose? Polyimide for equipment that runs hot, polyester for general panel and board identification, PVC where the label has to follow a curved or irregular surface. Tell us the application and we will confirm.
