  • Versions for meat, seafood, fruit and vegetable, and general-purpose lines

On an automated tray-packing line, every sheet-change stop is lost output — the machine stops, the operator resets, and throughput drops. Roll-form absorbent pads remove that break: the pad is slit and placed continuously from the roll, at machine speed, with no single-sheet handling in between. For processors packing chilled meat, seafood or produce, Bofeng New Materials supplies food-grade absorbent rolls engineered for this kind of continuous feed, with cores that still take up blood, juices and condensation the moment they appear.

Where Roll Absorbent Pads Are Used

Chosen wherever packing runs fast enough that single-sheet placement becomes the bottleneck:

  • Meat and poultry lines — chilled cuts and tray-packed products at high output.
  • Seafood processing — fish fillets, shrimp and other tray-packed product on automated systems.
  • Central kitchens and pre-cut produce facilities — salads, cut vegetables and ready-to-eat packs.
  • Fresh produce repacking — standardised portions for retail distribution.

Key Features

Roll supply that keeps the line moving

Rolls are supplied in standard widths and lengths, so slitting and placement run continuously without sheet-change stops. Flat rolls with even tension and clean edges convey smoothly, position precisely and cut quickly on high-speed machines, which shortens changeover downtime.

Consistent absorption and locking

The core keeps the polymer absorbent resin and wood-pulp composite structure, so it absorbs blood, juices and condensation quickly even in roll form. Liquid is locked in and gelled inside the core, resisting backflow when stacked packs are under pressure.

One roll family across meat, seafood and produce

Line-specific versions are available — meat rolls optimised for blood, seafood rolls for low-temperature resistance and mucus absorption, fruit and vegetable rolls for condensation, and a general-purpose economy roll.

Food-contact safety and running stability

All materials comply with food-contact material requirements, and the rolls hold their shape without deforming or delaminating in storage and transit, so they run reliably on the machine.

Every roll in this family shares the same absorbent core; what changes is how it is slit and cut for your line. Typical starting points:

How to Select and Order

  • Tell us your product type — meat, seafood, fruit or vegetable, or general purpose.
  • Confirm your machine type, the slit width it needs and your line-speed target; we recommend a starting roll specification.
  • Supply is on rolls; MOQ and lead time depend on width, length and volume. Sample rolls can be requested for a machine trial before you commit.
  • EU food-contact packs. Confirm the food-contact basis and the recyclability grade of every layer against the destination market rules — tell us the market and the pack construction and we will confirm the documents you need. Compliance documentation is provided offline on request; we do not publish certificate numbers online.

FAQ

Are roll-form pads compatible with our existing packing machines?

In most cases yes. Tell us your machine type, required slit width, cut length and tray size, and we will match a roll specification to them.

Are they safe for direct food contact?

Yes. They are made from food-grade materials that meet food-contact requirements. Ask us for documentation for your market's compliance review.

Do meat, seafood and produce need different rolls?

We offer separate versions — meat rolls are tuned for blood, seafood rolls for cold-chain and mucus, and fruit and vegetable rolls for condensation. State your product and we will supply the right type.

Can we test the rolls on our line before ordering?

Yes. Request sample rolls for a machine trial and share your line width and speed; we will recommend a starting specification.

Bofeng New Materials supplies food-grade absorbent pad rolls to meat, seafood and produce packers running automated lines, with slit widths and cut lengths matched to each machine. Tell us what you pack and your line speed, and we will recommend a starting specification.
