Specialty Coffee Filters

Not every filter is a plain disc or cone. Two formats sit outside the standard range: a pre-folded square filter, and a supported novelty filter built for gift sets and retail assortments. Both are converted from the same food-grade filter paper, on our own lines.

Where These Formats Are Used

• Coffee gift sets and subscription boxes — the supported filter works as the opening item.
• Retail assortments — pre-folded squares sold beside beans and brewers rather than alone.
• Cafés selling retail — a shelf item that is not another bag of beans.
• Housewares brands — packaging a brewer together with its matching filter.
• Private label — printed bag or box carrying the brand, with the filter unprinted.

Folded flat, brews upright

The pre-folded square is creased on the same lines every time, so it opens to a stable pyramid and stands in a carafe without a holder.

Support designs that need no dripper

The UFO and rubber-duck formats pair a round paper support with the filter itself. The assembly sits on the cup rim, so the brewer needs nothing but a mug.

Packed for the shelf, not for the kitchen

Pre-folded squares go out in 50 or 100 pieces per bag or box; the supported filters go out in 16-piece OPP bags. Both are retail-ready as they arrive.

No optical brightening agents

Neither format carries optical brightening agents, so the paper stays neutral against coffee and against a printed pack.

Two stock formats, both cut from food-grade virgin wood-pulp filter paper:

Other folded sizes, other support designs and printed outer packs are made to order. Send a folded sample or a dimensioned drawing and we will match the crease.

Formats and pack counts

The two formats answer different questions: the pre-folded square replaces a filter the customer already knows, and the supported filter is the item a gift set is built around.

How to Select and Order

• For a pre-folded square, send the current folded filter or a dimensioned drawing. The 30 × 30 cm figure is a reference, not the folded footprint.
• For a supported filter, measure the rim of the cup you intend it for — the support has to sit inside the rim, not on top of it.
• Decide which item leads the pack: if the set sells the brewer, the filter rides along; if the filter is the product, it needs its own printing.
• Choose the presentation by channel: bag for a refill, box for a gift.
• Send designs, cup dimensions, packing and destination — request a quote or sample and we will confirm paper, crease and documents.
• EU food-contact packs. PFAS restrictions apply to food-contact packaging from 12 August 2026 — tell us the destination market and the brewing use, and we will confirm the grade, the grease-resistance route and the documents you need. Fluorine-free options are available on request; third-party test reports for a specific batch are supplied on request, and we do not publish certificate numbers online.

FAQ

What does the 30 × 30 cm figure mean?

It is the size reference for the pre-folded square range, not the folded footprint. Match a folded sample or drawing against your brewer's filter holder before ordering.

How many pieces are in a pack?

Pre-folded squares pack at 50 or 100 pieces per bag or box. Both supported designs pack at 16 pieces per OPP bag.

Can we have our own support design?

Yes. Send the artwork or a physical sample and the cup it must sit on; a new support shape needs its own die.

Are the filters available in white?

The pre-folded square range is specified in natural brown. White is available on request, and both colours are free of optical brightening agents.
