Safety Warning Labels

A warning that only works for people who read your language is not a warning. On a shop floor, a loading bay or a chemical store, the person who most needs the message may be a contractor, a driver or an agency worker who does not read the text on the sign — which is why the symbol and the colour have to carry the meaning on their own.

How to Select and Order

• Choose the material by where the label lives — indoor panels and racking take standard vinyl; wash-down areas, outdoor plant and oil mist call for polyester or laminated film; reflective stock is for unlit aisles and vehicle routes.
• Choose pre-printed or blank — fixed hazards are cheaper as pre-printed labels in one artwork; where the message changes often, blanks let your site print on demand.
• Match the size to the reading distance — a label read from a moving forklift or from an access gate has to be sized for that distance, not for the panel it sits on.

FAQ

• How is this different from a "fragile" shipping sticker? A fragile sticker warns a carrier about handling in transit and is normally pre-printed; safety warning labels here are about hazards at a fixed location — machinery, chemicals, access and PPE — and are sized for reading distance on site.
• Do your labels comply with ISO 7010 or ANSI? Those standards set out symbol shapes and colour conventions, and our artwork follows those conventions. We supply the label, not a certification — if you need a formal declaration for an audit, tell us and we will confirm what documentation is available offline.
• Can the symbols be customised? Yes — supply your artwork, or tell us the hazard and we will produce a symbol set for your review before printing.
• Will they survive outdoors or in a wash-down area? Polyester or laminated film with the right adhesive will; standard paper does not. Tell us the environment and we will select the material.
• Can I test before ordering? Yes — request samples and check legibility and adhesion on your own equipment and surfaces before you commit a specification.
