The unbleached kraft face keeps its wood-fibre grain and warm brown tone, so a label reads handmade and honest with none of the gloss of a coated white stock — the look artisan food, drink and craft brands are built on.

Crisp printing on the brown face

The kraft surface (uncoated or micro-coated) accepts thermal transfer, laser and inkjet printing; ink and toner sit cleanly on the absorbent paper so text, logos and small print stay sharp. Because the base is brown, proofing one label before a run is recommended to confirm legibility and colour for your design.

Tear resistance that survives handling

Kraft fibre is stronger than ordinary paper, with higher tear and burst strength, so labels stay intact when peeled, applied, chilled and shipped — fewer torn labels and reprints.

Firm bond that holds through use

A permanent strong-bond latex adhesive grips corrugated board, wood, plastic and some rough or textured surfaces without lifting at the edges, while clean die-cutting gives tidy shapes and an easy peel from the liner.

How to Select and Order

• Choose grammage by the job — 80 gsm for light price and promotional tags, 100 gsm for everyday product labels, 120 gsm where labels see handling (bottles, bags, parcels) and 150 gsm for a heavier, more premium card feel.

• Which printing methods work with kraft paper? Thermal transfer is the recommended choice for crisp, lasting text and barcodes; laser and inkjet are also supported. Because the kraft face is brown and absorbent, proof your artwork on one label before a production run so you can confirm legibility and colour.
• Which surfaces does the adhesive hold on? The permanent strong-bond latex grips corrugated board, kraft and paper packaging, wood, plastic and some rough surfaces. If you label glass, metal or another substrate, send us the jar or material and we will confirm suitability before you order.
• Which grammage should I pick? 80 g suits light tags and promotional stickers; 100 g is the everyday product-label choice; 120 g handles bottles, bags and shipping labels; 150 g gives a heavier, premium feel for gift and brand labels.
• Do you make labels to my size, shape and format? Yes — kraft labels can be die-cut to custom sizes and shapes, printed, and supplied as rolls for automatic labelling. Send your artwork and format and we will confirm.
• Are kraft labels recyclable? Kraft is a natural, unbleached wood-pulp paper; whether a finished self-adhesive label can be recycled depends on its adhesive and any lamination.
